DACA
As a nation we have ideals and standards other countries admire and emulate. North Korea imprisons not just people trying to escape into China but whole families, from Grandchildren to extended nephews/nieces are held accountable.
If a person came to America at age 2 (Two) with their parents on visas and did not leave, that child is considered illegal. Some propose they should return to country of their birth and 'stand in line" for a visa. Most of these children have completed elementary education, some secondary and if polls from university's are accurate 45% are attending colleges.
"standing in line" under quota system set by State Department could mean 20 year wait.? No rational logical person would willing return to a country where the culture and language are so alien from what was received on MAIN STREET.
I'd propose each DACA would undergo investigation. If there is no history arrests then after five years they could take citizenship tests and become honourable, law abiding citizens.

First of all, comparing deportation of illegals to what the Norks do (labour camps, beatings, murder) is factually inaccurate.
It does not matter if these so-called Dreamers are in college. Their parents broke the law by migrating illegally. If they did not get their children citizenship while they were here, tough crap. They should've attempted to become citizens through official channels, not in the back of some coyote's rape van.
Spare me your crocodile tears.

Here in Kentucky, as in many other states, our state pension plan is on the brink.
http://www.kentucky.com/news/politics-g ... 60197.html
Kentucky has one of the worst-funded pension systems in the country, but it isn’t alone. Following the Great Recession, about 75 percent of state pension funds have undergone some kind of reform since 2009, according to a study by the Center for Retirement Research at Boston College.
>tfw you tell a teacher concerned with her pension plan that eliminating the cost of caring for immigrants and foreign wars would free up money to spend on other problems.
My position has been and continues to be, once all the Beckys can't afford their new $400 purses the worm will turn in a major way.

Re: DACA
The problem is that DACA creates an incentive for more people to illegally migrate here in order to get their foot in the door with their young children. Sending these people back home is the best thing we can do towards ending that incentive. Offering the blanket amnesty is the worst, the result being that more people will come here illegally, bringing their children, and becoming a drain on our economy and welfare system all so their kids can get into the amnesty racket too.
At the end of the day, this is NOT their home and it's NOT their country. It's not that I don't feel the weight of the pathos-based arguments on their behalf, but that the very real incentive such amnesty creates is too much.

Re: DACA
We should not allow parents to be retained in the country they illegally migrated to based solely on the fact they have kids. Are you proposing the state care for these children, or that we should just allow illegal aliens to stay? Make no mistake, the people who migrate illegally aren't the ones lining up to be naturalized. If you handed them citizenship on a silver platter, the majority would refuse.Hanarchy Montanarchy wrote:There is more than just feelz to the argument that we shouldn't penalize children for the crimes of their parents.

If we are going to start awarding special treatment due to bad parenting I'd like to have my voucher filled first please.
