Crichton's Timeline book
Does it whitewash the brutality of it's medieval setting or it's a more realistic gritty version?

Whoa, been a Long, Long Time.
Fairly Gritty as I remember, I recommend the book. Don't watch the Movie, 2nd in suck on Chricton films behind Congo.

No. It's a really good book.
Do *not* confuse the book with the shitty film.
If anything, he takes the brutality a bit too far.

As above. One of the more realistic looks at medieval life ever, really. Crichton was a fucking genius.
Jurassic Park, Congo, and all the others are soo much better than the Hollywood drivel that used their names. Believe it.

Andromeda Strain (film) was okay. The novel is really cool though a bit dated.
Eaters of the Dead was one of my favorites too. 13th Warrior was retarded.

The movie sucked. I remember the book being way better, but not the guys best work. Hwen you should read Jurassic Park. Thats like peak Crichton imo.
