Lived in this city for 20 years and never heard fireworks like tonight in the burbs.

I hate fireworks. When I was younger I used to fuck around and do all kinds of stupid shit like put firecrackers into eggs. As I got older I realized it is a miracle I still have all my fingers and both eyes. It is really amazing that so few people are maimed and killed by fireworks in this country, especially considering the amount of alcohol involved every 4th.
