It saddens me that an organization dedicated to the Gospel is using its internet bandwidth to slander the Alt-Right based on the same media reports that consider pro-life activists, conservative Bible believing Christians to be nutcases. The same slander that you hear out of mainstream publications is directed at the Alt-Right. While it is true that the Alt-Right is more secular than the traditional conservative movement, I daresay it is more sympathetic to traditional Christian interests than the folks who pass as "conservative" these days. The Alt-Right almost universally denounces sexual immorality and espouses traditional gender roles.
There are many former mainstream conservatives, current Christians, and other fellow travelers in their ranks. The main concern is that European culture is under attack. Whether "Christians" like it or not, Europe was the primary mover in the propagation of the Christian Faith, at least in terms of people. Most of the people who contribute here are their descendants. All the Alt-Right demands is we follow the Fifth Commandment, as the Lord pointed out, the first commandment with promise: To Honor thy mother and father. The Westminster Larger Catechism explains the duties required in the Fifth Commandment:
Q. 124. Who are meant by father and mother in the fifth commandment?
A. By father and mother, in the fifth commandment, are meant, not only natural parents, but all superiors in age and gifts; and especially such as, by God's ordinance, are over us in place of authority, whether in family, church, or commonwealth.
Q. 125. Why are superiors styled Father and Mother?
A. Superiors are styled Father and Mother, both to teach them in all duties toward their inferiors, like natural parents, to express love and tenderness to them, according to their several relations; and to work inferiors to a greater willingness and cheerfulness in performing their duties to their superiors, as to their parents.
Q. 126. What is the general scope of the fifth commandment?
A. The general scope of the fifth commandment is, the performance of those duties which we mutually owe in our several relations, as inferiors, superiors or equals.
Q. 127. What is the honor that inferiors owe to their superiors?
A. The honor which inferiors owe to their superiors is, all due
- reverence in heart, word, and behavior; prayer and thanksgiving for
them; imitation of their virtues and graces; willing obedience to their
lawful commands and counsels; due submission to their corrections;
fidelity to, defense, and maintenance of their persons and authority,
according to their several ranks, and the nature of their places;
bearing with their infirmities, and covering them in love, that so they
may be an honor to them and to their government.
I find it ironic that a generation where our sins are so grievous that we are now confused about who is man and who is a woman has the audacity to lecture our long dead Christian ancestors about their "sin" of "racism" which is not once mentioned anywhere in the Bible at all.
