BEER

Post by Kill the King » Sat May 27, 2017 10:23 pm

I used to be a Coors light drinker but about 10 years ago I got into microbrews and now can't get enough of IPAs.

Some of my favorites are pliney the younger, by Russian River but I've only found that at the great American beer festival and Lagunitas Maximus.

Some of my local favorites are marble and Bosque IPA.

Curious on what you guys drink. Is there a great IPA I'm missing? A friend of mine and I brewed a few batches and got our apv up to 11%. Lol

Lone Star. It's cheap and still ok but not near as good as Yuengling. I like a lot of IPA's myself. My favorite is flying dog.

Oh and we have great local hefeweizen

Never heard of flying dog. Who makes it? Back in the day Texas pride was $0.99 a six pack. Nasty stuff but didn't care at the time

Never heard of that. They sell another cheap brand that I find interestingly gross at Bucees but I forget the name. Baums?

I used to get flying dog mixed packs at Krogers and they were all very good. Reasonably priced and I think I looked them up online.

I'll look for that. I like bitter beer with lots of ABV

There's one here called all day IPA. It's like 4.5 ABV might as well drink water

I've gone the past 2+ yrs doing a different 12 pack every time - I don't drink a lot, so a 12 can last me a month at times (maybe 2-3 weeks at worst). Its been an ongoing experiment, had some grapefruit IPA a while back that I didn't like at all (that might've lasted 5 weeks because I had to force myself to drink them), some really good ones... No "repeats" in the entire 2 years.

I don't like being hungover. And then after a day of being hungover I'm depressed on the 2nd day

I think I fucked up my serotonin levels when I used to do E all the time
