Many people fairly give him shit for his impulsive tweets, but I was always a fan because of how impulsive they were, knowing we were getting what-appeared-to-be direct messages. Better to know the man than to know his legal team, right? Shame that everything we see on there now will have been run through a filter, I naturally assumed his tweets were somewhat regulated or approved or something, especially after he took office, but evidently not. I'm again reminded of another quote from the apeman: "We will now see less and less of the Trump that people voted for, until we never see it again."Meetings are set for next week as the president returns from his overseas trip

One major change under consideration would see the president’s social media posts vetted by a team of lawyers, who would decide if any needed to be adjusted or curtailed. The idea, said one of Mr. Trump’s advisers, is to create a system so that tweets “don’t go from the president’s mind out to the universe.”
Some of Mr. Trump’s tweets—from hinting that he may have taped conversations with Mr. Comey to suggesting without any evidence that former President Barack Obama wire-tapped Trump Tower—have opened him to criticism and at times confounded his communications team.
Trump aides have long attempted to rein in his tweeting, and some saw any type of legal vetting as difficult to implement. “I would be shocked if he would agree to that,” said Barry Bennett, a former Trump campaign aide.

The next tweet:
My lawyers tried to create a panel that would screen my tweets. Guess what? They're fired!

Yes! Now that's the Trump that I didn't-vote-for-but-wanted-to-win! Where's he been at? Last I saw he was "shoving" some losers out his way overseas, we need to see more of that guy

This would bring Trump in line with most modern politicians. Remember during the election it was reported Hillary had a panel of nearly 20 lawyers, speechwriters and aids from every diversity block to send a Tweet. Frankly, I will miss Trump being human. That's one of the big problems with our leaders, they are not human. They are automatons.

He seems to have a natural impulse to say and do things which undermine his own presidency. So I guess his supporters will need to decide whether it is better to have some Trump, or no Trump.pineapplemike wrote:I hadn't really seen this mentioned anywhere
