Foreigners Don't Know What Liberty Means

I ask all the time, and have found that citizens of other nations never know the definition of liberty. They always think liberty is a synonym of freedom. When I tell them what liberty means:
You make decisions for yourself
You reap the benefits or suffer the consequences of your own actions
You are responsible for yourself & other people are responsible for themselves
And that Americans make liberty their primary objective, making them the only Liberty nation, which is why socialist nations, the exact opposite of liberty, can't understand America.
These people are surprised & usually don't know what to say. Debate over.

I love the subject of Liberty.

Stuff like this is why I encourage all Americans to travel abroad.

Increasingly in the US fewer and fewer understand Liberty as well.
