I recall there was a push to move on from black that failed. Oriental to Asian happened. I think Woke is dead in the water.

The Oriental to Asian thing was kind of dumb. Oriental was more specific, whereas Asian technically includes a ton of different peoples. The Afghans are Asian. So are the Russians east of Urals.

Not sure what you're talking about... I haven't heard the word "Oriental" in a decade, at least.
"African-American" is still used in the news constantly, but I think "Black" is making a comeback, as people finally start to realize that they aren't from fucking Africa.

Obvs, but we're from at least a dozen other places, too. An 'African-American' would be someone who emigrated directly from an african country to here. If you're born here, you're not anything "-American". You're just American.Speaker to Animals wrote:GrumpyCatFace wrote:Not sure what you're talking about... It was mainly the European governments that tried to force everybody to use Daesh because they didn't want to use the word Islamic for PC reasons. People obviously said, fuck no, this is Islam.
