For a coup to occur in this country, the first thing you need is a military leader with a direct claim to the throne. Add a couple other Marine divisions and loyal Navy air squadrons...

If you look at what the most respected institutions are you'd find the military at the top.

DHS says collusion between RU and Trump/Pence DoD confirms leaves only the State Department to overpower.

Also, collusion between DHS and DoD could obscure troop movements.

I don't mind most of those picks. I did read an article on Mattis that I liked. I'd rather the State Department wasn't overpowered, that's the diplomacy wing, they aren't the CIA. I'd rather state do their job so the military can practice maneuvers.
