Spreading democracy (the chaos kind) around the world one coup at a time is an American trademark. The '50s & '60s were halcyon days but Reagan certainly made hay in Central America, both Bushes weren't too bad at it, and Obama gets credit for Libya & almost Syria. I can't wait for Hillary to invade every damn place. There's no place too ridiculously awful for us not to stick our fingers in.
