Dude, all they do is use minorities as human shields and scream RACIST! They don't even have an argument. You can't defend this shit.

Because me personally handing out some fucking food or mosquito netting is not going to make a dent in the problem. I can't give to a charity, because I know that 90% of it stays with the damn charity. It takes the power of a society to change things, and I want mine to do so.

Why? Perhaps I have a little bit of humanity left in me, that hasn't been completely subjugated by the corporate machinery and corruption around me.
Give yourself a pat on the back buddy! You are really making a difference! Fuck those charities handing out misquito nets dude. They should see all the great work GrumpyCatFace is doing on the Martinhash.com forum. Talk about sacrifices! He made 20 reddit accounts and personally upvoted over 2000 reddit posts about the Syrian refugee crisis! Is there any way you could do a TED talk at my college next year? I would honestly love to hear your full story.

Their part of the world has been designated a dumping ground for every MIC and colonial empire for centuries. Their governments are regularly upended or undermined, their society is at the mercy of robber barons and religious freaks, and a shutload of them are drowning and being abused, just trying to get out.

Their kids are shot and bombed, their women are raped, and their men are tortured - just as a matter of life. And we're supposed to be angry at the ones that make it, because a very few of them are fucking crazy by now? I fail to see the distinction. Honestly.

They have zero concept of modern life - it's the equivalent of dumping 10,000 cavemen into LA. Of course they're going to band together and cling to their batshit traditions while they adjust. That's human nature. You should be ashamed, imo.
Its not our job to house, feed, and look after the entire third world. Why stop at the Middle East? Burma, Indonesia, and Sri Lanka are ruled by brutal juntas. All of subsaharan Africa is riddled with human rights violations. Haiti never fully recovered from that Earthquake. What the EU and US ought to do is have their navies patrol the coasts of Africa, Asia and the Middle East picking up refugees and busing them directly to Europe and the United States.
We could employ thousands of TSA agents to hand them food stamps and get-out-of-jail free cards (good for one honor killing or sexual assault on a minor) as soon they set foot on our soil. I don't really understand why we waste money on our country's infrastructure, education, defense, and healthcare when we could be using it on noncitizens who have nothing to offer our society.
Funny. You mention later that I discredit these people as thinking human beings, yet here you state that 'they have nothing to offer our society'... Which is it? Does the society not benefit from growing larger? Are we all consuming a limited pie? That's not how an economy or society works.
As to your point about muslims having zero concept of modern life, I don't think you have any understanding of what modernity is. Progressives always think that good=modern and bad=old. They assume that every person and society will pass onto modernity in a dialectical process that will end in a peaceful homogenous world. This idea is very old, and every time History throws it on the trash pile some other belief system picks it up. Right now progressivism is holding this bag of shit.
Modernity comes in many forms. While ISIS does all kinds of fucked up shit, it is a mistake to assume that they are not modern. They borrowed all of their tactics, strategies and philosophy from Leninists from the recent past, they have a good understanding of how the media works, they employ tech savvy people to edit their videos, run their social media accounts, and make their weapons. In fact, much of the way the competing jihadi groups in the Levant operate mirrors a sophisticated multinational corporation, requiring in depth marketing and branding, such as constantly changing their name to make it appear more local. Their ideology is alien to us, but they are modern. The muslims living around ISIS are modern too. They are plugged into the rest of the world, and they live in complex societies. But their conception of modernity does not involve feminism, gay rights, freedom of speech, or a secular court system. And many of these governments have the support of the population. They are not simply brainwashed. I actually think that I have more respect for these people than you do. While I intensely dislike muslims, I at least acknowledge them as thinking beings. You basically view them as your pets. "Oh brown person! I'll make sure you have enough food and water, and I'll train you to understand that Bernie Sanders is the best candidate!" You see them as this empty pot to dump all of your progressive bullshit into. That is incredibly naive. If you went to go live in a muslim country, you would not renounce your progressive beliefs. Why on Earth do you expect them to renounce their beliefs?
You've taken a left turn here. I never argued that they are, in fact, stupider or less capable of picking up technology to their advantage. But as a society, yes - they are in the stone age. You could just as easily drop the same tools among an area of cavemen, and get the same result. Their society has not progressed along with the rest of the world - obviously. They've been held back through a combination of colonial rape, and being completely ignored by the rest of the world until we found oil there. Ever since, we've propped up religious dictators to hold them back and get us cheaper energy. This is the effect of all that, paying off in spades, as it always has, and always will.

Keep supporting those charity organizers then - they need to eat too.

For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.
