Nah. Tom Hanks is to classy for such low disease. He is probably method acting to get a role in “Philadelphia 2- set up the Coronas”.

NBA season cancelled after one of the Utah Jazz players tested positive.

Not a big loss for me, but things are getting weird out there.

Well Trump did just ban all travel from mainland Europe for a month so most sporting events are likely to be next anyway.
Say goodbye to big political rallies too. Biden and Saunders have already cancelled theirs.

Temporary travel bans at least make sense, suspending sports seasons for a disease that has 100,000 cases worldwide is asinine.

I could see cancelling there next game (or two) to get the rest of the team tested, but cancelling the entire season on one case seems a bit extreme.

Then again it's probably likely that game attendence (live) will be going down in the coming weeks. Might just be a good excuse to just shut it all down... some disaster insurance that gets triggered/paid, loan terms for "act of God/nature", etc, that wouldn't get triggered if their game revenue just started dropping over weeks.

Got to protect the merchandise. These basketball players don't come cheap.

They're worth nothing if the aren't working.
