Re: RIP
He actually has a lot of detractors amongst veterans, and a lot of that is based on his military service and his later treatment of fellow veterans. If his electorate consisted of only veterans, I have my doubts he'd still be in office by this stage in life.
Frankly, I think he'd lose in an election held only by veterans based on his war-mongering alone. His role in the Obama administration creating ISIS alone is enough to toss him out of office. All he ever wanted was war everywhere. War World would have been McCain's legacy.
And look at his own war record. It was abysmal. He crashed two jets before he set that aircraft on fire. Then he got shot down, which I suppose you could blame on Charlie, but then he went to Hanoi and became an enemy collaborator. If I had been captured by enemies and did the things he did, I would be prosecuted and thrown in jail. Ask Staff Sergeant Bergdahl how that works out. But because he was an admiral's son, he just skated on by -- just like when he crashed two aircraft, or just like when he almost sunk an aircraft carrier when he wet started his aircraft on deck.

Wow. Definitely you know him better that I in the military sense. I’ll yield to your knowledge. I take it you served?

Yes, Harry. But you don't have to serve to read about the crime of collaborating with the enemy.

No that’s not what I meant. That you served just like many of the former DCF and MHF current members. It’s just a tip of the hat. Doesn’t matter if we agree/disagree, or whatever us army brats like myself just simply appreciate that you served. That’s all.

Holy crap, Steve Pieczenik don't hold his punches when he gives his version of John McCain.

Re: RIP
I frankly don't know if McCain served honorably in uniform or not. I've listened to his Tokyo Rose broadcast and have doubts. But I've been through SERE and know that eventually the enemy will find a way to use you as propaganda. But what he said is extreme.
I will leave it to his fellow POWs, who, by now, have greeted him. They can judge him for whatever happened in the 60s and 70s
Regardless of all that, just his arming of ISIS is extremely suspect.
