Who said the FBI director cost Hillary the election? That's a HRC/CNN talking point, most people here I think would contend that his actions pre-election were in accordance with his testimony to notify Congress if there were any new findings in the email investigation after he formally closed it in July (two or three months after he really closed it in April or May, apparently)

If he isn't a supporter, he was atleast willing to protect her from the full force of the FBI last year. I'm sure the many reasons why that is are posted around the MHF somewhere, likely in the thread.

No comment from me on the Russia investigation, I'm only here to allege that Comey is crooked

So the FBI, the department that has as it's stated priorities Protect the United States against foreign intelligence operations and espionage is looking at the Trump team. And many wonder why?

One of Trump advisor Mr. Sater's emails,in the long list of emails like "I love it!"...

Yep. Sometimes things are obvious and simple.
Not that I doubt the validity of this, but I'd love to see the original email.

What? People forget Comey's October surprise?

Heck, it was the official reason what Rod Rosenstein from the Trump Justice Department & White House gave for the sacking of Comey... THAT IS UNTIL Trump himself went on air and said that he sacked Comey because he wanted the Russia investigation to go away. (Which has to be one of the most astonishing things Trump has said)

I assume the whole ton of emails etc. that Mueller will likely use can be obtainable later on... from some hilariously long document.

And that might take a while. Basically because Mueller is in no hurry.

Ah sure you're right, team Trump did use that as the reason if not part of the reason, I was only contending that Comey's October letter was justifiable following his testimony to alert Congress if there were new developments, which there were. I was upset with both sides for finding fault with Comey's actions on this when the fault should have been with team Clinton and Huma's Weiner.

Oh sure, I agree with that. Comey surely thought it was better to act like he promised, that if it had become later known that he witheld information, that would be bad. I think that Comey tried to do his job as best as he could ...and likely hated the fact that his department had become a tool in the political fight. I think he thought that he had done a good job, until Trump fired him.

And Wiener? At least vice President Biden's reaction was great! Oh God:

And the firing just backlashed on Trump... as there was no Mueller investigating with a broader scope of the issue (than just the Russian covert operation). That was because Rosenstein lost his face after Trump told the truth (that everybody knew, but still) that he fired Comey because of the FBI basically doing what is mission states. How difficult is it for Trump just to shut up and follow what his lawyers said. Perhaps it's too much for his ego to follow that, but I don't really know.

The whole thing is as pathetic as it looks.

In my opinion, its just a partisan deflected blame game that is going on. Trump is the one now in hot water (being investigated by Mueller) and one side is trying to muddle up the investigations and trying to make it (once again) about Hillary Clinton (even though she lost). I mean look how they handled the whole Charlottesville thing. Instead of saying, "well yeah one side was really bad" instead it went "but what about AntiFa?" because they are just trying to deflect the blame here.

Nah that's bullshit, we know that AG Lynch and FBI Director Comey were crooked, Robert Mueller is of the same ilk that will muddle up their own investigation to pursue a political agenda. I support his full ability to investigate the President but what gives you any faith he will pursue the investigation with any honesty? In fact I've lost almost all interest in the Russia investigation due to no confidence in the investigators, I saw how the HRC matter was handled, is the Russia investigation an investigation or a matter? Ok so now they're pursuing justice with full veracity. Am I supposed to say thanks?

Trump really screwed the pooch when he fired Comey for sure. Maybe Comey would've gone easy on him, maybe not... but once Trump fired him he then paved a way for Mueller and his special investigation and it is really heating up.

Overall, even trying to pardon his way out of it won't end well since presidential pardons don't extend to impeachment and it also requires the person receiving the pardon to admit guilt.

Where did you get the part about "it also requires the person receiving the pardon to admit guilt" from?

Serious question. Where did you get that?
