Jesus, man, I've been married 39 years and none of my kids have tattoos or piercing, nor have ever been in jail, and we all have good relationships. I have no idea how better to measure my insight?! I also happen to be a doctor and a lawyer with experience in these matters. What's your fucking opinion mean to me?DBTrek wrote:Can’t think of two sources I’d trust less than StA and Martin Hash when it comes to women.
Maybe Ike Turner.
Maybe.

This is what happened to the academy. Women could not compete with males in general, so they invented fake academic programs like women's studies. Those fake academic programs proliferated as women enrollment surged, but women failed to cut the mustard in STEM programs, and the universities still wanted those sweet student loan dollars. As these programs proliferated, the relative power of the women dominating those programs increased until they cut deeply into general education requirements and then began to dictate the various universities policies. Now they are full-on indoctrinating people with their Marxist ideologies instead of teaching them anything legitimate.
A similar thing happened with African American studies. Affirmative action placed many blacks into universities that were too difficult for them, when they would have prospered at a lower-tier university. The end result was the proliferation of critical theory programs at Ivy League schools. Now those schools are mostly a joke in terms of academics. Nobody takes them seriously any longer.
In the corporate world, we see similar trends in places like Google, where instead of merit-based hiring and promotions, we see these identity groups trying to muscle out white and Asian men who generally would out-perform the other demographics as a group.
Women have a completely different approach to social matters than men. Men are more merit-based. We judge one another by capabilities and success. Women are more about group inclusion. The minute they got a foothold in these before male-dominated spaces, they quickly set themselves apart as their own group, and identified men as the enemy who had to be controlled and forced to conform to arbitrary female demands regarding conduct and even hiring practices. Think about how fucking crazy it is that women hijacked affirmative action from black people when women as a group are the majority compared to men.

You wouldn't question the social structure of lions or gorillas, but Martin pointing out that homo sapiens too have evolutionary-defined social structures and gender roles gets met with the "I don't think productivity should depends upon externally defined roles".
The problem here is that we have sapience, which allows us to defy our evolutionary-defined psychology and social behavior. Maybe that's a good thing in some cases; probably bad in most cases; but you have to at least acknowledge the costs and consequences of violating human nature at some point.

These two posts reflecting on the advantages of homosexuality are maybe some of the most surprising posts I have read on the forum...Speaker to Animals wrote:I might be wrong here. Not totally sure. I'll repeat myself: my opinions and insight are good. If I'm saying something that you disagree with, odds are it's you who need to rethink. I'm logical & rational, I've written it all down, and I continue to evolve the concepts. Whatever preconceptions and self-interest causes you to push back against my advice so hard, stop. Men and Women are not equal.
Men are stronger than women physically for the most part. Women are for the most part more nurturing.
Men are wired to engage in dominance hierarchies in a different way than women.
Both men and women form dominance hierarchies.
Men compete more with regards to physical dominance and women more with regards to relationship status...
But both genders do some of both... Men can be sensitive to relationship status... and some women play the physical dominance game...
That being said men and women are for the most part specialists in their arenas... and somewhat clueless in the other genders arena.
This leads to a lot of misunderstandings across the genders.
