You do know she is a SJW/corporatist in true prog clothing, right? Overall on the politics you are right but this is a tempest in a teapot you ride this for next week and a half tops.jbird4049 wrote:Dand wrote:That's great. No. I am actually serious with this. I half suspect she is possessed.Dislike her politics all you want, but such name calling and deliberate obtuseness, is doing all of you no favors.Dand wrote:that was my reaction too when I read an article in the MSM about this yesterday. Actually no, she broke Rule XIX.

This is a rule that has been around for 100 years, just because it's not enforced as much as it should be, doesn't mean what Warren did should have not been punished.
The Democrats pull our laws for copyright infringement, so what's wrong with doing this?
I've got another interpretation, maybe Elizabeth Warren is such a nasty bitch that she can't follow a rule if it requires her to act with some decency. If this rule is being "historically" used then it's because she managed to be a "historic" bitch. Congrats, Liz.
By being so deliberately insulting after a woman from the minority party is reading actual witness testimony from a black woman about a cabinet candidate's actual racism who was then stopped using a rule which is hardy ever enforced, merely enforces the suggestion that she was wrongly silenced.

Alveda King sees this for what it is:

Unfortunately for Warren, Alveda King, the niece of MLK Jr., wasn’t too happy about the usage either.
She told Fox’s Neil Cavuto that, “In that letter [Coretta Scott King] would be referring to some of [Sen. Jeff Sessions] comments,” Alveda King said. “However, she would agree today that he of course ended some [school segregation and] he worked to prosecute members of the KKK.”
“It’s almost like a bait and switch, stir up the emotions, in the name of King — and my name is Alveda King — … [and] play the race card, which she was attempting to do,” she added.
Alveda King said, while the issue is certainly divisive in Washington, D.C., it has not caused any problems within the King family.
“We are taking a look at many things that Mrs. Coretta Scott King said, Martin Luther King Jr., my daddy A.D. King,” she told Cavuto. “But our family — we are peacemakers, we bring people together, … we do not divide people.”

In this case, the woman literally slandered another member of the Senate.
The left thinks beating women in the face with a flag pole is a "protest", and slandering people with obvious lies and horseshit is "speaking your mind", and you still can't figure out why the democratic party is collapsing.
Everyone gets three guesses.
Actually, if you watch and follow, she was quoting from a source, which was one letter that Coretta Scott King (the widow of Martain Luther King) wrote, that literally convinced Congress to not give Sessions the position of federal judge, 30 years ago (written in 1986 when the Republicans had the Senate majority and the Dems controlled the House). It's not slander if she is quoting from the letter, which is what she was doing at the time she got censored. This all reeks of political censoring/maneuvering on the Republicans part to get Sessions nominated as AG.

I don't know, if she is a corporatist, but about the tempest I agree.
