Communism is the political manifestation of Marxism, which promises, through various mechanisms, equality of outcome. Those who propose Equality-Of-Outcome are Marxists, though they hide from the term like vampires from sunlight.

Again, why are contemporary Marxists so afraid of it? I used to know dozens and dozens of Marxists 25 years ago who wore it proudly, and their policy positions were less radical in many respects than what is thrown around today by "social democrats" or "progressives" or whatever.

A wee bit of intellectual honesty goes a long way in making arguments, and friends.

The "better mouse catching cat" has been in use in China for a long time.

What China is the perfect example is of a state run capitalistic system. That's what the socialist market economy of China is. It is rather more closer to classical fascist system than anything close to Communism.

To ponder about Communism is quite nonsensical. If you are to discuss state run capitalism, it's really something different. Even though the Chinese Communist Party naturally say they are extremely communist.
