The Government determines having Special Needs kids is bad for Society. Pre Birth testing is mandatory, babies that will cost the government too much will be terminated regardless of what the parents want.

The Government will determine Mother and Fathers that will likely have kids that don't meet standards and force Sterilization.

Elderly that are costing government too much, cancer, etc. will be denied treatment, given drugs for pain until they die. Unless you are considered valuable to the state, such Royals, Lords or similar Elites.
Seriously Carlus, you are just trolling at this point.
This case is not about what is bad for society or cost to the tax payer it's about the childs best interest.
No doctor will be able to prove to a court that a special needs baby has no quality of life and no chance of any future quality of life.
This has been successfully argued in countless court hearings and appeal courts in this case.
Shouting literally Hitler, forced sterilisation and death camps is the only logical outcome is frankly beneath you.

This is actually one of those alter or abolish the government moments. A government that claims the right to decide an innocent person's life is not worth living and sets out to murder that person must be destroyed.

You are clearly in Third Reich territory now.

No hyperbole here at all. Your government uses police powers to crush dissent and intimidate critics into silence. It actually claims the authority to decide whether your life is valuable and will then set out to murder you when it decides you are not worth living.

You are totally fucked. Better start arming yourselves.

Seriously. Get ready.

All the decent men care only what is best for Alfie.
You can keep your Catholic dogma and your rigid adherance to it out of this. You have ignored all the nuances regarding Alfie's medical condition and continue to just shout murder and sperg up the thread without addressing the points brought up by this case.

Well, the child is not dying, so you support making sure he does by starving him to death. Murder!

The child is dying, he has a terminal disease with no chance of recovery, he is being given oxygen to help him breath or he would already be dead. He will die long before he actually starves to death, most likely from organ failure or some other symptom of his condition.
Allowing a brain dead child with no prospect of any quality of life the right to die is not murder.

The relevant points IMO...
In the UK, the law doesn't consider either doctors or parents to be automatically right. That's why, when an agreement can't be reached, it comes down to the courts to make the final decision based on the evidence available.
A parent who wants to pursue a treatment that is ineffective and potentially prolongs suffering is treated similarly in law to a parent who refuses life-saving treatment that is very likely to work.

You support murder. Full stop. You are morally complicit in the murder of a child.

This is not just taking somebody off life support any longer. The child lives despite it. Your government is trying to starve this child to death before another government is able to treat him and make your NHS look like the Nazi pile of garbage that the rest of the world now sees it to be -- rather clearly.

Maybe you do not understand this, but the world is watching in horror.
