+1. I'm certain someone's interest is being served here, but it's definitely not Alfie. This is nothing more than government reminding the proles about how powerless they are over their own lives.C-Mag wrote:Yeah, starving a kid to death is in the best interest of the kid......................... it would be more humane if you took a cricket bat to his head.Montegriffo wrote:The best interest of the parents is not the prime concern of the courts, the best interests of the child are. They keep doing this and they condition people to accept that the Government gets to say who lives and dies and the family has no say.Kath wrote:+1. They disguise this as humane by keeping on Alfie on drugs while he starves to death. But we really don't know how coherant people in comas are. People have come out of comas after years and said that they were aware of everything going on around them but just couldn't respond.

As if this story couldn't get any creepier (not surprising, though, when you think about it):

Re: Europe, Boring Until it's Not
Please just read up on this individual case Carlus. This child is brain dead and never coming out of his coma. Even the Vatican's hospital have admitted this. There is no treatment being offered by any other health service. Keeping a brain dead child with no hope of ever improving is not in anyone's interest least of all the child itself. Brain scans have shown a complete lack of brain activity, this is irreversible.C-Mag wrote:They keep doing this and they condition people to accept that the Government gets to say who lives and dies and the family has no say.Kath wrote:+1. And before anyone goes off on a tangent about saving the NHS money being the reason for this decision it has been far more costly for the health service to fight for Alfie's rights in court case after court case than it would have been to continue keeping him on life support.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Here's the next Logical steps
The Government determines having Special Needs kids is bad for Society. Pre Birth testing is mandatory, babies that will cost the government too much will be terminated regardless of what the parents want.
The Government will determine Mother and Fathers that will likely have kids that don't meet standards and force Sterilization.
Elderly that are costing government too much, cancer, etc. will be denied treatment, given drugs for pain until they die. Unless you are considered valuable to the state, such Royals, Lords or similar Elites.

Typical pro life hypocrisy, protest for Alfie's right to life while issuing death threats to hospital staff.
Not only that, storming the hospital itself and attempting to occupy it disrupting the health care of every other patient.
Full blown SJW behaviour.

If there is a decent man left among the English, the government murdering this child and threatening to imprison dissenters should be their Stamp Act moment.

This is one of those moments where government rulers' pride is so great they carry on with an act so vile and evil that the world turns against them.
