I think it's a stretch to say no one but the Judge found Count Dankula's video to be grossly offensive. The Jewish council of Great Britain certainly found it to be so.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Where on earth did you get that idea? I expect all self-identified victim groups to line up in court claiming to be grossly offended.Montegriffo wrote:Maybe you think that only the Jews are protected?
Do you really, really, think that that video in any way shape or form stirred up hatred against anyone. Besides the originator, of course.Montegriffo wrote:Perhaps you think it is ok for one part of society to stir up hatred against another?
I'm upset over the fact that a joke video, that isn't forced upon anyone, can get you convicted of a speech crime that also obviously was not committed.Montegriffo wrote:Could be that you are hyperventilating over some dickhead getting fined for being grossly offensive?
If you think this is not a bad precedent and you won't see a lot worse coming down the road because of this I almost feel sorry for you and your lack of imagination. Prepare to be boiled, little frog.

If your "rights" are conditioned upon the daily whims of a black-dress, you'd probably be better off living in a real mob rule "democracy."
At least you'd have some kind of chance to guess what the current 50%+1 found in favor and avoid pain by being compliant.
Is there a more pathetic slave than one whose very thoughts are subject to review and condemnation by some busy-body with a gavel?

The video received majority likes, so the argument that this video is "grossly offensive" falls on deaf ears, in my opinion. Compare that to the typical racist and sexist content uploaded to the same platform by radical cultural Marxists in the MSM. One could argue those leftist videos are grossly offensive based on the overwhelming dislikes by viewers, and yet those people are not arrested, tried, and fined.

Ok, but so what? People are going to start wondering why their personal sense of being offended isn't on par with another person's sense of being offended. This will lead to more legislation to ensure more and more people don't have to be offended without punishing the offender.Montegriffo wrote:I think it's a stretch to say no one but the Judge found Count Dankula's video to be grossly offensive. Dear citizen:
Here is your script for today. Please don't deviate as this script was written specifically so as not to not offend anybody. Failure to comply will lead to a fine, ankle bracelet, and possibly time in the rape cage.
Sincerely, your government, we're here to help. You're welcome.

It depends on the judge. Some would certainly find that statement more offensive than "gas the jews".Montegriffo wrote: Pretty sure no judge would find that "grossly" offensive.
If I had said " do you want to gas the gays?" 23 times in a three minute video it would be different.
Whether an LGBT group finds it grossly offensive is neither here nor there, it has to be a Judge who finds it so.
First of all, homosexuals were still persecuted, even after the nazis had fallen, for breaking the laws the nazis made. While the jews got out of the concentration camps when the war ended, the homosexuals were thrown back into prison. It's one of the overlooked crimes of the nazis, which could make any joke about them more offensive to someone, than jokes about an even everyone is more aware of.
Secondly, homosexuals around the world still face persecution today. Thrown off buildings, murdered, set on fire, you name it. A judge could easily find this grossly offensive, even if he wasn't a homosexual himself.
