Beijing - obvious chaos for 1/7 of humanity.
Mumbai - most American IT infrastructure collapses.
You’re not thinking of the connections between these shitholes.

If it hits land, it doesn't matter where it hits, if it doesn't hit the ocean we are all fucked. If it hits too deep of water the ocean is going to hit most of us in one manner or another. We may survive, but we'd probably lose 25 to 50% of the world population.
If it hits land, the dust could that it will cover the earth with enough dust in the air that the clouds will block out the sun. The earth would drop temperature and we just outright would die in several months due to lack of food.

You are thinking short term if any of those areas were hit the world as we know it would die, prepared or not...SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2019 9:50 amChicago or NYC - stock market and most international banking halted for months. Those are critical centers for finance.

Not talking about a planet- killer. Just a Chelyabinsk sized pop rock that flattens a few square miles. The Conservative wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2019 6:01 pmYou are thinking short term if any of those areas were hit the world as we know it would die, prepared or not...SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2019 9:50 amChicago or NYC - stock market and most international banking halted for months. Do you realize an asteroid between 5 to 7 miles in size would be big enough to do that?SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2019 6:28 pmNot talking about a planet- killer. So, a rock a few miles across may not end the world, but what we could be talking about could easily take out 2/3 of the world's population.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2019 6:54 pmYesThe Conservative wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2019 6:35 pmDo you realize an asteroid between 5 to 7 miles in size would be big enough to do that?SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Sun Aug 11, 2019 6:28 pm

Watch the video - Nuclear Propulsion is not just bowing up bombs - it can be used to create a thrust stream.
US actually built a Nuke jet engine which worked - we just decided that radioactive emissions and contrails was probably a bad thing....
