I made a star wars thread, but if we are going to evaluate Star Wars, we need to have a modicum of honesty. Star Wars sucks dick. Even the old ones were not that good. You are supposed to like them when you are a kid, and then grow the fuck out of them before freshman year of high school. The prequels suck, yes, but the hamill ford ones were kid movies with a fanbase that got a got a bit too big for their britches. These were always kids movies, and not particularly good ones at that. Being snobby about Star Wars is like being snobby about fast food or gas station hot dogs. Remakes and reboots are shit, and pining about Star Wars is silly when there is actually good scifi out there.

George lucas is a slightly better version of Michael Bay and even a mediocre director like Brian DePalna has as much talent in a single pubic hair as Lucas does in his entire cranium. I dont care about box office numbers. If we are going by popularity, Maos little red book is one of rhe best of all time, and Islam is the fastest growing religion. Star Wars is lowest common denominator bullshit, and pretending otherwise is wishful thinking. These are not good filns.

Uh.. no..

The original films portrayed him as neutral. He's not good or bad. He's just doing what he has to do to get paid. He talks shit to Vader and lives too.

But the film takes the idea of once you side with the Empire, then you are the bad guy.

The film also takes the idea that the good guys are a bunch of fanatical space terrorists who join forces with little cannibal monsters to overthrow the galactic stability. It's literally as if ISIS was able to overthrow the world order and plunge the world into chaos.

Boba Fett was no dummy. He was just trying to navigate his way through the collapse, helping the side of order while it lasted, and definitely not siding with Space ISIS.

You can say that but Lando was another person that choose the Rebel side over the Empire. Even after he turned in Han Solo.

I have yet to see people cosplay Jabba, Jar Jar, and/or Watto. You guys are just picking the losers of the Star Wars universe:

It's hard not to side with the rebels in the original trilogy but as they are demonstrating in the prequels and the latest movies they suck at governing and diplomacy. How bad do you have to suck to defeat an Empire, be in power for decades while chasing the remnants of that Empire only for that remnant to build up quickly take back all you won, and when you call for help because of your incompetence no one responds?

If she does anal it would take Luke making round trips to the Dagobah system to counterbalance Sith power.

Don't know what you're on about. I see people roll playing Jar Jar and Jabba every day.
