We enjoy it. Definitely has a unique viewpoint on an under-explored part of history. Fairly realistic, too.

They didn't have tv cameras back then so the stuff in there is fiction not a documentary. They use actors instead of real historical people.

A documentary series, so not really a TV series or movie. By far the best documentary series on the Eastern Front that's not a book, INCLUDING Ghosts of the Ostfront. Get's into the tactical ends of things, which adds a whole new perspective to a lot of battles.

Originally Produced for Russian Television in 2011, this is the story of Russia's 'Great Patriotic War' and the Red Army's long road from defeat to victory

The place names on the maps are all still in Russian, which I think is cool
