This is what TC is not getting. One of the things that makes English such an expressive language is the large number of ways to say the same thing. I suspect he thinks a thesaurus is a type of prehistoric reptile.

Yes, you can use a thesaurus for plenty of things, including improving your English, not diminishing what should be an elevated art form in many cases.
