Botkyrka Direkt! That's an obscure source. It's one of those free newspapers handed out once a week in a small part of Stockholm financed by local adds. How is Breitbart finding this stuff?
Anyway the proposal is from a couple of opposition politicians seeking attention. The want MPs into the troubled areas. The same Military Police that has gone on different UN missions to places like Afghanistan, Bosnia and some natural disaster areas.
Those are some of the best people we have but would be wasted there imo.

I don't know how Breitbart comes up with it, that's funny now that I know it's a little mom and pop operation.

Why would the effort be wasted ? If they can handle Bosniastan this should be a cake walk.

What's the story Eurotropes ?

The Breitbart spin here is to talk about the politician (Mikael Cederbratt) referring "gang violence" with quotation marks (hinting it's not gang violence, but ethnic/racial strife or whatever) whereas the Swedish papers tell him talking about gang violence and especially referring for Sweden to declare a war against criminal gangs. Some even his own party opposes the idea and well, basically such a comment is given by a politician to get focus on the subject (or focus on himself) as deploying military isn't a realistic or likely thing here. And basically the Swedish military isn't some Gendarmerie so it's highly unfit for the role anyway.

And Swedish newspapers aren't talking about no-go areas.

But what is notable is that Cederbratt is from the Moderate Unity Party (established 1904) which is a liberal-conservative party, not from the Sweden democrats. Hope that gives more perspective to the issue.
