So if we shift back to county level government, the head of the county should go back to holding the title of Count.
Fuck the Count also.
This point was not lost on Hamilton and his rich asshole buddies. They knew that the hillbillies in western PA would fuck the Count up if he got out of line. Better to have a federal standing army personally led into the field by POTUS to get the point across.

Did I?
Let me ask this, if we did the election instead of winner take all, but winner take winning counties, what would the numbers look like?
The election wouldn’t have been close, Democrats couldn’t depend on specific states to carry them. Instead we would have the people vote, and their votes would count more significantly.
The “people” would have spoken.
How? Not all counties are equal. A county is not a balanced unit population wise. Do you even know how a state gets assigned electoral votes?
I know fully well, but let me ask this... has that help states like Illinois?
What? Help? Now you sound like a God damned liberal. Electoral vote is supposed to elect a President not "Help." Fuck that shit. I once again have to ask, do you even know how a state gets assigned electoral votes? Because it doesn't seem as though you do.

I do, and I am pointing out a key issue called disfranchisement.
When a handful of core cities can stipulate the overall view of the state, there is an issue.

Remember, I’m a social liberal.
If something affects/effects people I have an issue with it. Especially if the majority of the region didn’t vote for it.

Don't you have an app that "helps" your grammar?

Your silly little idea disenfranchises a heck of a lot more. Illinois was won by 55%, that is a clear majority. Having a county of 1500 get the same vote as one of 5 million, a reality in Illinois, is the kind of shit that starts wars. I really dont think you know how the electoral process works.

Pretty clear argument for doing away with the electoral college. Good one.
