I think China should play hardball. Its North Korea's only hope for any kind of longterm viability, and Un knows it. That country is a powder keg waiting to explode, and China will end up paying most of that tab.
I'm sure he'd love to claim it as his success...

Re: North Korea News
Are you against the sanctions? If so, don't you think that they force the DPRK to cut back? It has less resources to use, so it will have to cut back on its social control, defense spending, or infrastructure. Whatever it decides, it will take a hit. I think that's good personally.Zlaxer wrote: ↑Mon Nov 26, 2018 12:41 pmWorld is better off in long term with normalized DPRK....even if the short term is painful.heydaralon wrote: ↑Mon Nov 26, 2018 12:38 pmWe shouldn't be sending them anything. Re: North Korea News
Korea always needs new workers. Could we cut a deal with the North Korean government to relocate the migrant caravan to Kim's wonderful state? They'd like it in North Korea, whose venerated constitution guarantees health care and housing, far more than in evil Nazi KKK America. They apparently don't like the food that the Mexican government gave them. Maybe kimchi and rice would be better on their palate. North Korea would be so lucky. These people are hard workers, and smart too. The only reason they didn't apply for US citizenship legally is because their type a personalities and busy productive work schedule wouldn't allow them the time.

I agree with the democrats... simple enough, we just drop a nuke each on Chicago, Baltimore, L.A., NYC, and probably a handful of other cities... and I'd bet the gun death statistics in this country would plummet!! No need to bother trying to overturn the 2nd amendment at all.SuburbanFarmer wrote: ↑Mon Nov 26, 2018 5:46 pmDon't need a lot of police, if everybody has a gun. Same concept.
...sure, it'd mean millions of deaths, but the far left always does that eventually if they get their way.

Things would have gotten boring (and probably unprofitable) with peace, anyway.North Korea says it will never unilaterally give up its nuclear weapons unless the United States removes its nuclear threat first.
The statement carried by the official Korean Central News Agency on Thursday (local time) comes amid a deadlock in nuclear negotiations between the United States and North Korea.
It raises further doubts on whether leader Kim Jong-un will ever relinquish an arsenal he may see as his greatest guarantee of survival.
Kim and US President Donald Trump met on June 5 in Singapore where they issued a vague goal for the "complete denuclearisation" of the Korean Peninsula without describing when and how it would occur.
Follow-up talks have stalled with the North insisting that US-led international sanctions against the country be removed first before any progress in denuclearisation.
Fame is not flattery. Respect is not agreement.

Ehhhh - rehtoric is less hostile than in the past - DPRK should want US Nukes on pennensulia to keep their PRC masters at bay. Real threat to DPRK is PRC.
If I were US 5 star - I’d take US nukes out of ROK - we have Japan and Subs.
