Deterrent and defense go hand-in-hand. What's the point of going all defense when you can deter probably 90% of the break-ins with a dog? If you are going to get the guns for defense, then consider getting the dog to deter in the first place.

Hey, if you're scared of junkies, you're scared of junkies, but if you're invoking them as a lethal threat, I'd say you're just being hysterical and paranoid, a skinny strung out guy with a substance abuse problem, I don't get why I need to use lethal force against that, just tell him to piss off before you have to put a whuppin' on him, problem solved.
