Czechs are starting to run around now, Canada bringing the heat, Czechs can't keep up with them.
This Batherson tho, the kid is having himself a tournament, whouda thunk he would be the go to guy.

Cale Makar leading all defensemen in points - 3G 5A, 8pts. Conor Timmins named one of Canada's players of the tournament as well, two Avs defensemen with that honor. The Avalanche killed the 2017 draft.

Yeah, those were good picks, I mean, Makar obviously, but Timmins has really come along in the last year.
An even better draft this year, would be a good year for the Av's to win the lottery, but even just getting into the top five would be good.

Assuming the Leafs don't spiral down to the bottom of the Atlantic in the second half, there's a couple of D-men I'm coveting later in the round, Ryan Merkley and Evan Bouchard.
Merkley is another Makar type, Bouchard is like a Fabbro.
