Yeah, we established that back when I pointed out that roads were naturally occurring miracles in Fifeland.Kath wrote:So government can't build roads. Private interests can't build roads. They just magically appear as soon as we stop taxing people. Alrighty, then.

Who, exactly, do you think builds the roads? You all have them over there, right? You do agree that they actually exist IRL? We're not just imagining them, are we?Kath wrote:So government can't build roads. Private interests can't build roads. They just magically appear as soon as we stop taxing people. Alrighty, then.

Surely someone who thinks we need roads, but doesn't believe anyone can build them, has a plan, right?DBTrek wrote:Yeah, we established that back when I pointed out that roads were naturally occurring miracles in Fifeland.Kath wrote:So government can't build roads. I'm imagining a world without taxes. A tornado comes to town and rips the main corridor to shreds. Who is responsible to get it re-built? Who pays for it?Fife wrote:Who, exactly, do you think builds the roads? You all have them over there, right? You do agree that they actually exist IRL? I’m not even a taxes-to-build-roads guy, we can print money to build roads. I’m a taxes-to-redistribute-wealth guy.

I didn’t say there weren’t alternatives to the post office, my genius friend. There are alternatives to roads as well. The point isn’t about alternatives, it’s about this juvenile idea that somehow everything government touches is a crime and a failure.
