Statements like that by European public officials really makes me stop and wonder - is the "Common Man" of Europe really so stupid as to be persuaded by such statements.....Politicians say things to get votes....so obviously the above one must think that such a statement will convince at least some people...

I'm no peer. My family tree goes back to 18th century farming stock and then disappears when we try to go further back.
