I will give you the benefit of the doubt, and assume you are intentionally misunderstanding the whole point so you can try to make a snarky comment. The alternative is that you are truly thick, or have trouble reading, and I would hate to think that.Speaker to Animals wrote:Borders are imaginary, everybody. At the end of the day, this is NOT their home and it's NOT their country. It's not that I don't feel the weight of the pathos-based arguments on their behalf, but that the very real incentive such amnesty creates is too much.[/quote]
THIS IS THERE HOME. IT IS THERE COUNTRY EVERY BIT AS MUCH AS THE GROS VENTRE in NORTHERN MONTANA, or the boy attending Ballard High SChOOL. DACA are in university's, the Army, the Navy. They work, pay taxes. Presently there is no path to citenship for them so returning to country of their birth lessens us( AMERICANS) and puts their lives in peril.

Mexico is their home. Mexico.
Do you see Mexicans calling for open borders into Mexico such that the Mexican people will become a minority in their own country? No? Maybe fuck off, then.

Re: DACA
They have Mexican parents, and family all over Mexico.
Returning them to their country of origin, with their parents, to rejoin their family, hardly puts their lives in danger.
Not to mention, we're not sending DACA-enforcement squads to round them all up, so if a DACA member is getting deported it's probably because they brought negative attention down on themselves somehow, right?
Really, quash the hysteria.

Every Mexican immigrant I know still has most of their family back in Mexico and they go down multiple times a year no matter how dangerous it is. And I'm not talking about hopping across the border to Baja, I'm talking bout deep Mainland Mex

Re: DACA
People like to act like the DACA kids were hatched from eggs in Mexico, smuggled into to America by wolves, and dropped in the street as orphans.
It's ridiculous.
OMG OMG OMG OMG WE HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF THEM OR THEY'LL DIE!!! WHO ELSE COULD POSSIBLY LOOK AFTER THEM?
Oh . .. I dunno . . . maybe the illegally-crossing PARENTS that dragged them over here?
How's that for a plan?
How's that for a radical shift in perspective?
What if PARENTS were responsible for their children, and not the government of whatever nation those parents smuggled their kids into?
Don't let these progressive play that panic-song about imminent doom and death.
They're just being stupid, as is their custom.

Why should America tax payers be asked to foot their bill by allowing them to be eligible for government assistance when we have actual citizens below the poverty line? Why do you think its America's responsibility to provide for the worlds poor?
