I dislike Windows enough to just stick with a console. But Microsoft even fucked up their console too, so I don't know. I have been spending so much time rehabing my fucked up muscles and exercising, that most of my time on the computer is spent working on a machine learning project anyway. I play Crusader Kings II every now and again. That's about it.
BTW, Mint has things like Dropbox integrated into it. For average users, this is a really nice distro. It's almost the dream of a user-friendly Linux distro. There's still a tiny bit of configuring people might have to do, though.
One thing Linux geeks don't understand is that the rest of us hate administering systems. The only thing more boring than having to spend a lot of time administering your computer is having to administer a network.

The XBox One isn't terrible, it's not great but I'll tell you right now it's fun to play on if you got a good group of people.Speaker to Animals wrote:GrumpyCatFace wrote:Why not dual boot? Are the file systems different?

Yes. Typically. Generally people partition one file system for Windows, one for Linux and one for swapping between the two. When doing a fresh Linux partition it will typically ask you how much you want to allot to each partition. Usually only two, one for Linux and one for Windows.GrumpyCatFace wrote:Why not dual boot? The problem I have with my dual boot is I left too much memory for the windows partition and I don't plan on using it. I just don't like all that space not being used but w/e

Mozilla, maker of Firefox, has awarded $100,000 USD to fund the email for RiseUp.net. The email service used by Antifa -- a domestic terrorist organization within the United States. Multiple attempts to get a statement from Mozilla & RiseUp -- for over half a week -- have been met with total silence.

I wonder if anyone can offer some advice on a cheap path to MCSA/MCSE certs for SQL. I've entered it into the IT budget this year, but I don't want to spend too much on classes/testing. Prices appear to very wildly.

Has anyone done the MCSA/MCSE? Do they still have the value that they used to, or are they outdated now?
Does it matter WHICH MCSA "path" you take, or is it only an MCSA when you complete all of them? I'm interested in the Database branches, but that's about it. Don't care about obscure Windows code.

I only picked up a python course. Their deep learning material seems legit, though. Not sure about database courses.
My advice is to wait around for the course you want to go on sale for about 10-30 dollars.
