to secure a big city like Kyiv ?

if the opponent is resolved to defend it to the last man ?

you need ten to one advantage at least, to secure such a vast and exponentially complex objective

so if there are just 30,000 Ukrainians defending Kyiv ?

you need 300,000 Russian troops to secure it

if 50,000 Ukrainians are defending it

you need 500,000 Russian troops

this is why in the Gulf War, even with 500,000 troops, Colin Powell was not going to Baghdad

like 13,500 Marines to take Fallujah

Kyiv is 15 times the size of Fallujah

so to take Kyiv, just against poorly armed & trained goat herders ?

you would need 200,000+ Marines, which is more than the entire Marine Corps

it seems to be apparent now

that the Russians are just stuck

stuck right where they are

can't go forward much further, can't go back in the face of the now advancing Ukrainians

not enough troops to take the objective

but can't get Putin to call this disaster off

so they are just sitting in place idling, like sitting ducks

paralyzed by the sheer size and complexity of the task
How did Putin fuck this up so bad?

even just looking at the propaganda war

it's quite obvious that the Ukrainians are cutting the Russian columns down with ATGM's

there's ample evidence of wrecked Russian vehicles everywhere

where is the Russian propaganda ?

they do put some videos out, lots of glossy videos from Russia,

but nothing from the war zone

they cannot produce one bit of propaganda showing them winning anything at all decisively in Ukraine

We steam rolled Iraq - occupation and series of bad decisions happened after initial invasion…

because Rumsfeld & Cheney were bailed out by the sheer quality of US military personnel

whereas in this case, Ivan Rumsfeld & Dick Putin are trying to pull this off with Russian conscripts

the Russian army is like 50% conscripts with zero motivation and minimal training

All true, but how did Putin not see this as a problem?

because he's not military, he's KGB,

he's a spy, not a General

but I mean, look at these pathetic Russian troops

check the one being captured because he's passed out drunk after looting a liquor store

this is the Russian army, dude, this is what they are like

I get why the soviets are stalled….the question how the fuck did the no.1 KGB Boris Baddenoff not realize his forces were not in any condition to take Ukraine in under a week and without looking like the fucking train wreck they are?

Don’t you think it’s weird he was so far off in his plans?

How did Syria go? Russians were there as advisors, similar playbook, and Assad is still in charge. Despite the wishes of Hillary and the rest of her usual entourage of neo warhawks.

the whole Russian narrative is simply being exposed as false

Ukraine is the real country that the people are willing to fight & die for

Russia is the fake country which nobody wants to fight for

I can only assume that the Russians made the classic mistake of believing their own press releases
