Excuse me...…………………......….. I got the impression after days of F-35 fabulous it could do everything. Hell, I waiting for the video of the pilot ordering a steak, baked potato and beer out of the on board food generator.Smitty-48 wrote: ↑Tue Mar 05, 2019 1:36 pmFallacious canard, the contract was not mandated to do it all, nor have we invoked it as such, the mandate was to provide a scaled down but more advanced version of the F-22 Raptor concept, which could both replace American 4Gen teen series, while being able to export it to all of America's allies as well, to corner the combat aircraft market.C-Mag wrote: ↑Tue Mar 05, 2019 1:34 pmThere will be weaknesses, limitations and shortcomings. First of all, I doubt one weapon system can 'do it all' as is being presented here.. Doesn't mean it won't be successful and valuable to have in the stable.TheReal_ND wrote: ↑Tue Mar 05, 2019 1:20 pm
This shit is Warhammer but irl. The only hype going on is from commie cat face and mother jones trying to tie our hands behind our back.
Dukenog has it exactly right, it's the Henry Ford-35.

The Panther is the most advanced combat aircraft in the world, game changing revolutionary platform, but the game which congress mandated, was tactical interdiction. That being said, the Stealth, EODAS and Sensor Fusion simply happen to be exponential force multipliers which can be used for things congress never even thought of back when they issued the contract.C-Mag wrote: ↑Tue Mar 05, 2019 1:42 pmExcuse me...…………………......….. I hope it lives up to all that. I'm waiting to see how it performs in combat over a length of time.
Now, from a US standpoint. This may be a brilliant business move. It appears they've sold a lot of countries on it.

That's actually perfect. It's about as effective as the Nazi wonder weapons too. LOL
Give me the old-fashioned Spitfire over the V2.

From an actual Air Force perspective: it's inappropriate for the roles it is meant for, and its technology does not even currently work. Also, the stealth is not effective. Anybody can target it. It's the same kind of stealth that was on the F-117 and the Serbian mogrels even figured out how to target that with some minor modifications to their Russian air defense systems.
