I think right now the Caps D is better, but yeah you'd never trade Columbus D for the Washington D, but that's because of long term value, not short term value. Right now in the video game the Caps D should have the higher overall rating, if that isn't already the case.
I think Jones and Werenski are better than Carlson and Niskanen right now, they're not Kieth and Seabrook, but they're better than Carlson and Niskanen, Washington's D just doesn't add up to anything special, it's not really better than Columbus, Washington has 179 goals against, Columbus is 184, 5 goals against seperation is not a significant margin.

Seth Jones is the best defensemen on either team but that doesn't mean the Columbus D is better than the Caps D is right now.

The gap is so marginal that it doesn't amount to a significant difference, "better", but not so you'd actually notice.

More accruate to say "experienced" rather than "better", but since the experience is all choking, I dont think it actually amounts to much.

I do appreciate that. We should have at least 30 minutes to say nice things to each other.

US officials say that more than 50 Tomahawks that struck Syria were fired from Navy warships in the Mediterranean

US official says Tomahawks struck planes, runway at Sheryat Air Base in Syria. This is the base where Syrians launched chem attacks from
As far as I can tell, no AUMF, most likely used War Powers Act...

See, the thing about the Leafs defence, not saying it isn't weak, but it's more about the forwards than it is about the D, the problem with the Leafs D is that it is soft, they have four small rushing D men, the only physical D-man is Polak, so they just get run off the puck by heavy play down low, then they can't get it back, but the reason the Leafs are bad defensively, starts with the forwards not being able to play a possession game, the Leaf forwards throw the puck away, it's just constant turnovers, game after game after game, the rookies have an excuse, they're rookies, that's how rookies play, they will get better, but the real weak links are guys like Bozak and JVR, they are the worst, they cough the puck up constantly, and then just float around their own zone doing nothing, you could swap out a couple Leafs D men for a couple Washington D men, and it wouldn't make a difference, because the lack of possession game would sink the Washington D too, the Washington D is sheltered by a possession game, if they had the forwards coughing the puck up constantly the way the Leafs do, they Washington D would get rinsed just as badly for all intents and purposes.

Who would have thought back in the 70s that a white-bread kid from boondocks west Tennessee would be talking with urban eastern Canucks in a thread about WORLD WAR III and the Tennessee NHL team against the yankeeassed NHL teams all in one thread in an internet forum hosted by a pointy-head from the PNW that is a remnant of a forum from another pointy-head from the PNW who used to at least talk a little game against World War III?'

Go Preds.
