Birds are gay, and I am pretty sure the strength of the sun's rays don't change based on the amount of solar panels on Earth. Also, dams are badass. We haven't built a proper dam in this country in far too long.
I like fish. Hydro is all the excuse of nuclear with very little output.
You're right. We should base energy policy on which animals we like. Very progressive.
Gyms should be modified to use all that physical exertion to produce electricity. Human hamster wheels conected to dynamos instead of treadmills, pedal powered generators to replace exercise bikes etc. The unemployed should be forced to produce electricity in order to recieve benefits. It's a win win, no more couch potatoes putting a strain on the healthcare system and a way for the jobless to contribute to society.
It's all in my manifesto...
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Not the worst idea. I'm kinda surprised that nobody powers their gym with the treadmills.
Hardly. It would be worse for them to keep doing it, and not advance in the world. It’s far more heartless to keep people mining for no reason other than dependency.
Plus, are you really advocating for more black lung cases and early deaths at a slave wage? What exactly does it benefit for us to keep a dangerous and outdated industry around? Not to mention absurd levels of pollution and more sickness downstream (literally)
You seem to think that jobs in the hills of eastern Kentucky are plentiful. The reason rural America is dying is because it is being killed by policies created by non-rural Americans.
You take those jobs, you kill a community. I am sure you are fine with that. Excuse me if I take it a bit personal.

Dude, this is the fallout from extreme government subsidies, making the entire region dependent on a single industry. There's only one way to end that, and grow from it.
Yes, people will be unemployed in the short term, but the entire area will be far, far better off in the future.

Correct. Single-product economies don't usually come into being naturally.
No man's life, liberty, or property are safe while the legislature is in session
