Human hamster wheels conected to dynamos instead of treadmills, pedal powered generators to replace exercise bikes etc. The unemployed should be forced to produce electricity in order to recieve benefits. It's a win win, no more couch potatoes putting a strain on the healthcare system and a way for the jobless to contribute to society.

Plus, are you really advocating for more black lung cases and early deaths at a slave wage? What exactly does it benefit for us to keep a dangerous and outdated industry around? Not to mention absurd levels of pollution and more sickness downstream (literally)

Dude, this is the fallout from extreme government subsidies, making the entire region dependent on a single industry. There's only one way to end that, and grow from it.
