Re: Late Cycle Capitalism
I wanted to work 90-hour weeks; so do lots of ambitious people, especially Hi-T folks. If somebody wants to work 30-hours, 20-hours, just get Basic Income; that's fine as long as they don't consume more than they produce, but if everyone wants cellphones and e-cars, yet only puts in 10-hours a week, how's that going to equate? Plus, those kinds of folks invariably want to FORCE everyone to work 10-hour weeks.

Right now if somebody wanted to work 10-hour weeks, room-share, eat cheap, and Tinder-fuck every single day, they could. What's stopping you? You can even bathe down at the gym.

Re: Late Cycle Capitalism
We can organize our economy and society however we want. I don't really give a shit about arguing whether we should have more vacation days or whatever.
What I give a shit about is the fucking lying. This shit the left complains about has nothing to do with capitalism and everything to do with the values America was founded upon, and fuck no we were *not* founded upon "liberty". Quite the opposite. America was founded upon exploiting people. Go read the original contracts for the colonists who first came here in the 1600s. They were essentially economic slaves to venture capital. Except the Puritans. Those clowns came here willingly as a religious state where there was no concept of "liberty" but rather "liberties" for some, and strict rules for everybody else. Liberty in the Chesapeake colonies was nonexistent for all but the aristocracy.
Slavery was the foundation of America. Not just racial slavery of Africans, which came later, but explicit slavery of whites in the south and crypto-slavery of whites in the New England colonies in the form of indentured servitude.
That shit leaves a mark on your culture. There's no getting around that. If you are cool with it, then fine. Just be honest about it.

“Bring me sources saying the Earth isn’t flat”
Nah, you go on believing what you like. I’d rather just laugh at the ridiculous claims in between making scratch and changing diapers.
I’d throw this question out there though - why do the lazy feel compelled to hamstring the productive? Why isn’t laziness simply enough for them? What compels them to also expend effort to bring down any system that allows performers to get ahead?
I used to be lazy and poor, and I loved it. When I had to step up my game and become a productive family man, I loved that too.

Straw man.
If you truly have to engage in such flagrant dishonesty like that, then just admit you have nothing. What the fuck.

Hallmark of someone who knows Marxist dogma, but nothing about history:
You don’t need sources, you need an actual knowledge base as a foundation for building additional understanding. Good gravy.

America was founded on exploiting people, which is why I’m in here yearning for the halcyon days of Medieval Manorialism.
Legit.
Legit.
