There is no evidence to support this. The opposite is true,Le Pens would lose the second round against either of the other parties.
You are right. The French usually hold their noses and vote for perceived lesser evil in the second round.

Macron's party is only 12 months old so I don't know what sort of talent he has lined up for the top jobs in his cabinet. I imagine he will draw in defectors from the socialist party to fill in the gaps. So no more anti-establishment than Trump turned out to be in the long run. The Front National on the other hand is populated by some really unpleasant characters with little or no talent for government and there is no prospect for defectors from any of the other parties. This is why Le Pen will not win, populist rhetoric is good for media sound bytes but hopeless for actually coming up with policies for complex political problems as Trump voters are now finding out...........

You know, if Le Pen loses, that's it: Nationalism will be gone. It will evaporate, and all it's believers will join the Socialists, or whatever, because that's how politics works.

p.s. The winners will double-down because they won the election, so everything is okay, and let's not change a thing.

That's like electing Hitler to the Jewish rights Commission.

I see no reason the U.S. should take the U.N. seriously.

This is why I liked Bolton. Huge asshole. Can't stand the guy. He's perfect for the UN ambassadorship.

Nikki Haley has the alpha bitch thing down. It remains to be seen if she can fill Bolton's shoes, though.

The stupid thing is to take it out on the Russian ambassador. They have been trying to trash this place for decades before we got into the game. Stop with the friendly fire.
