Idyllic Americana
Except for the hydrogen bombs, it was utterly care free
Idyllic Americana
I like the characters. Giovanni Ribisi (Pete) plays a great con artist imo, and Bryan Cranston is an epic villain. If you like heist type stuff, then you'd probably like the ending. Most con artist movies like the Oceans series are terrible to me. But I think Bryan Cranston alone makes season 1 worth watching.Montegriffo wrote: ↑Thu Apr 09, 2020 8:26 amI watched the first series of sneaky Pete but lost interest after a couple of episodes of series two. It just seemed like more of the same. Is it worth persevering?heydaralon wrote: ↑Thu Apr 09, 2020 7:14 amCapps, have you watched Sneaky Pete? Its about a con artist who steal somes guys identity and lives with his family. It concluded its third and final season awhile ago. Its not Sopranos good or anything but its entertaining. I'd put it on par with something like Dexter. IF you have seen it, you might like it. Bryan Cranston plays the bad guy in season 1 and steals every scene he's in.
Monte, the season 2 and 3 villains are not as good either. I still enjoyed the show. However, the season 2 villain is an acid throwing maniac, so there's that. He's pretty damn cool.heydaralon wrote: ↑Thu Apr 09, 2020 8:28 amI like the characters. Giovanni Ribisi (Pete) plays a great con artist imo, and Bryan Cranston is an epic villain. No, it's not a shit hole, it's beautiful there and the people are very friendlyheydaralon wrote: ↑Thu Apr 09, 2020 8:30 amCapps and Smitty:
NewFoundland is viewed as a shithole by most Canadians right? I have heard jokes that they are inbred and have watched vids with their accent. To me it sounds like Benicio Del Toro from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, so I dig it, but they seem to have a bad rep from the Canadians I talk to. Why is that? Is it just a really rural area?
1949? Damn, that almost makes them like the Hawaii of Canada lolSmitty-48 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 09, 2020 8:34 amNo, it's not a shit hole, it's beautiful there and the people are very friendlyheydaralon wrote: ↑Thu Apr 09, 2020 8:30 amCapps and Smitty:

What it is, is that Newfoundland was a separate British Colony, didn't join Canadian Confederation until 1949
So there was always a rivalry between Canadians and Newfies
Canadians look down on Newfie's like Democrats look down on Fly Over CountrySmitty-48 wrote: ↑Thu Apr 09, 2020 8:34 amNo, it's not a shit hole, it's beautiful there and the people are very friendlyheydaralon wrote: ↑Thu Apr 09, 2020 8:30 amCapps and Smitty:
