I don't really get your childhood man. You have said that you lived in California for part of it, but grew up in the hood of 6ix. I remember you mentioning going to NYC with your father back in the day. Were you born in the states? Did your parents split and your dad take you to Canada? I remember you mentioning you joined the Canadian Armed Forces right out of high school so I guess you were living there by then.
My grandparents and aunt lived in Los Angeles, we just visited

But me and and my Da loved Cali so much, we went twice a year

I was born in Vancouver, my father was also born in Vancouver, his father was born in Hamilton

His father however, moved the family to Los Angeles in the 50s, they call became Americans

Then my Da moved back to Vancouver, in pursuit of my Canadian moms
Vancouver has turned into a fucking baller city from what I understand. Its gotten a shitload of money pumped into it from all over the world with some prime real estate. When you were a kid was it like that?
Our Vancouver was before 1986, after 1986 they turned it into a playground for the rich

Before that it was a paradise for everybody

I don't remember it tho,

because when I was born my parents moved to Nova Scotia to be close to my moms family

So in my mind I was born in Nova Scotia because those are my earliest memories

What was LA like back in the 70's? Probably pretty wild, counterculture going strong. Weirdly enough, I read LA and Orange County used to be fair conservative. Republican strongholds in the state. The shift is wild.
It was fucking Shangri-La so far as I was concerned, I was just a kid in the 70's tho, so mostly I did kidstuff in LA

The only place in Canada (which is the only other country I've visited) was Alberta. We were visiting Glacier National Park and part of that park is in Alberta. We saw some bison there, drove around, ate at a nice restaurant (I had a bison burger) and then drove home. Weren't there for more than a few hours. I was pretty young, but I remember the town we went to as being very still. Quiet, not a lot of folks out on the street. It basically reminded me of Mayberry. Nice houses well kept lawns etc. I guess Alberta is balling now too with the tar sands and shit.

sounds awesome.

I used to play in the woods in my old neighborhood with my friends. We go exploring. There were woods all around there. Hide and Seek. A lot of war games. Stickfighting lol. Good times. I drive through my old neighborhood once a year or so, just to see how it is. The people who bought my parent's old house cleared out those woods, destroyed this badass wooden fort my dad made for me as a kid, and just put in a tennis court. In fact, much of those woods are either houses now or empty lots. A google satellite view of the neighborhood looks like Curtis LeMay did a pass on it. Kind of makes me sad...

That was the best Bruce Lee ever, so real

The British guy doing McQueen was also great

Margot Robbie is easy on the eyes, blond rule exception, way qt'r than the real Sharon Tate who was actually meh
Agreed on all fronts.
Capps, have you watched Sneaky Pete? Its about a con artist who steal somes guys identity and lives with his family. It concluded its third and final season awhile ago. Its not Sopranos good or anything but its entertaining. I'd put it on par with something like Dexter. IF you have seen it, you might like it. Bryan Cranston plays the bad guy in season 1 and steals every scene he's in.
I watched the first series of sneaky Pete but lost interest after a couple of episodes of series two. It just seemed like more of the same. Is it worth persevering?
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.
