Haha haha that guy thought that a non-government-approved contract was valid.
What makes a contract "government-approved"?

It was a valid contract in every sense. What's invalid is how family court judges ignore the rule of law, constitutional rights, and due process.

The government doesn't care about personal contracts, only those that are licensed, approved, censured, and stamped by the government. What do you think, that you have some sort of sovreignty over yourself?

Oh, so you don't have to pay your mortgage, then. Got it.

Your mortgage contract is with a bank, which is sanctioned by government licensing, and brokered by a mortgage broker, who is also licensed and sanctioned by the government.

Go ahead, try another one.

Settle down kids.

Prenups do NOT have to be "government approved." No license is required to enter into one. You don't have to ask permission of the magistrate to sign one.

However, if you try to write up your own, you are extremely likely to fuck it all up and cry watching a judge wipe her ass with it.

A judge can and sometimes will toss *any* prenup. If it does not advantage princess, you are shit out of luck. Well, you are shit out of luck because of your gender anyway, so whatever.

There exists no constitutional rights, due process, or even human dignity for fathers in those systems.

Welcome to liberalism.

Can you provide an example of ANY personal contract not government-sanctioned that has held up in court, in the past 20 years?

The rules vary, as they of course should, from state to state. There are appeals from arbitrary rulings by trial judges to state courts of appeal and state supreme courts. No results are guaranteed there, either; but results are at least somewhat more predictable in those courts.

The moral of the story is to know the rules applicable in your state before you take action. Good lawyers actually serve this function for you when needed. If the rules are sketchy, move to another state or don't take the action. Or go see your rep or run for office, I guess.

Marriage pursuant to a state license is a risky business; so is sticking your dick in an unsure place. Nobody's gonna eliminate those risks completely, but if you help yourself, you can mitigate them.

What do you mean by "government-sanctioned?" Be specific and I'll try to answer.
