I too am not thrilled with a government agency doing something like that. A simple phone call would do it? Listen, do you want us to respond when those alarms go off, and they will go off, probably by accident or malfunction but you want us to respond right?

The whining we all might as well get used to as millennials increasingly achieve management roles across society. We saw a similar pattern when I was a kid as boomers reached this age.

Boomers and millennials are very similar generations.

Even boomers eventually grew out of it by their forties, so it won't go on forever.
