A bunch of self pitying cry babies calling for a "revolution" because your nanny state minumum wage is a few pennies short of where it was half a century ago; not exactly a good look for America, you sure you're not just spoiled rotten?
Would you agree/disagree with this chart?: https://www.dol.gov/whd/minwage/chart.htm

Do you agree or disagree with this calculator?: https://data.bls.gov/cgi-bin/cpicalc.pl
Would any combination of agreeing or disagreeing ever incite you to stop your pathetic and hysterical blubbering as if you were a miner being whipped to the coalface in the north of England in the 19th century?

Just trying to establish the facts.

And neither of us were miners being whipped to the coalface in the North of England in the 19th century, but I can be damned sure you complained about the work you did while you were doing it. All workers complain, it's part of the job, especially soldiers.

Lawd no! We are spoiled rotten as hell. Long live the system that allows for the spoiling.

However, concerns about the robustness of that system can be valid.

Never complained about being a soldier, loved every minute of it, me, even when I was being punished, because it was actually a badge of honor, to take your licks like a man.

Sir Smitty, the one soldier I've ever known to not complain about work. Every other soldier or former soldier I know complains constantly. Perhaps it's an American vs Canadian thing. Complaining is part of our culture.

Americans are living paycheck to paycheck because they made that life for themselves. Americans have gotten this 'I deserve' shit attitude. Normal is XYZ and I have to have XYZ. Understand that yes, business', banks and insurance companies want every penny of money from you. Normal will make you poor and in debt.

Jesus man! Are you mad!? If you convince people to back away from consumption we are all screwed!

We have a market sustained by faith in growth. That faith is sustained by expansion of debt financing. Even a whiff of the possibility that is ending and our skittish investor class will start pulling their cash in order to beat the curve!

Don't blame the consumers if you know which side your bread is buttered on brother!

DBTrek was an American soldier, and he has no time for complaining nor complainers. Okee was an American soldier, he doesn't neither.

As for the Canadian Army, you're thouroughly indoctrinated from day one into an ethos which asserts that not only is complaining a pointless waste of time, it's not to be tolerated by any member of the team, if you start whining in the Canadian Army, you will get set upon, but not by the chain of command, by your own peers in fact.

Tbqh, the Canadian Army is the land of happy warriors, who are smokin' and jokin', even as they're digging trenches for peanuts in the pounding rain, nothing you can do but laugh about it, and that's pretty much how they roll.

In Canada, the army is treated as an elite, and you feel privileged to be treated thusly, and are driven to be worthy of the title, so sitting around in the bottom of your trench feeling sorry for yourself; never happens.

express dissatisfaction or annoyance about a state of affairs or an event (common definition of complain).

I live with a former Marine. I play dnd on Tuesdays with 2 former Marines (including my roommate) and a sailor.

They complain. We all complain, soldiers or not.

Well, I can only speak from my experience, but ceasesless whining and complaining; I never encountered with the US military, they were the most "rah-rah-rah America is the greatest country on earth, not only now, but in the history of civilization, and serving America in the military was the greatest privilege any American could ever aspire to, to include the richest of the rich" bunch I've ever met.

And even when things were trenches in the pounding rain for peanuts sort of thing, pretty much the same as our soldiers; smokin and jokin', just getting on with it, and having a good time doing it.
