Probably helps Canada, since they seem determined to try to pass the puck into the net, instead of just blasting away and crashing the crease. Can't tic-tac-toe in the snow.

Yeah, shootout, advantage USA again, Carter Hart will have to stop everything, because this Canadian team ain't exactly a buncha snipers, Taylor Raddysh is no McDavid.

And besides, if you're going to lose, lose in the round robin, because it's very hard to beat the same team twice, it's almost better if Canada loses this game.

Let's hope so, but if it goes to another shootout, we're straight fucked, we have no one who can score and they're loaded. That was pathetic.

If Canada lets it come to a shootout, they deserve to lose, they didn't have any gameplan today, they played right into the Americans hands, now they've had their wakeup call, so the coaches have their attention, when it comes to planning the rematch.

This Team Canada is not built for smashface, it's a skating and puck moving team, they need to play to their strengths, and they couldn't really do it in two inches of snow. They actually did very well not to get blown out, I was actually expecting them to get blown out.

The conditions were entirely to the Americans advantage, if I was the coach of Team USA, I'd be a little worried, because they should have blown this Team Canada out, in the snow, particularly after losing to Slovakia.

I mean, flip it around, what if Canada had just lost to Slovakia, and then barely beat the USA in the next game? That wouldn't fill me with confidence, I'd be sweating the rematch in the elimination round after that, it's hard to beat a team twice in a row, and Canada had this game in hand and just started taking stupid penalties, which, not likely to do that twice in a row.

Swedish commentators are ruthless. Michael Renberg says these outdoor games are an inexcusable spectacle and he hopes they will go away forever.

The guy who decided the game, was Comtois, when he ran the American from behind into the boards, undisciplined, got baited into playing the Americans game, Lindgren knew he was coming and baited him into that, then threw himself into the boards, the whole team played into the Americans hands, but now they owe their coach a shame game, it's the same thing in the NHL, beating the same team twice in a row is a tall order, because in the second game, they're playing a shame game to make up for the loss, the coaches have had a chance to break it all down, pick their shit apart, rip them for their screw ups, so they're both better prepared, and highly motivated.
