No argument from me. It's just totally irrelevant. Soviet and China were collectivist/socialist societies. Individuals are totally irrelevant there. You are through the looking glass. They would gladly have taken twice as many casualties if they still won. It's not a metric that they cared about.

The Germans were the worst, they were just as collectivist and they didn't value their soldiers lives anymore than the Soviets did, even less in fact, while they vastly overrated themselves and vastly underrated everybody else, they pointlessly made enemies where they could have had allies, and their central planning was even more pronounced, incompetent, and in the end self defeating than anything even the Soviets were subject to.

The Germans snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, over and over and over, one stupid move after the next, they had one big success, they took France, after that, they spiralled down in a totally avoidable series of strategic blunders one after the other.

Their Generals all knew it, doesn't matter how ostensibly brilliant they were, when they were a bunch of poodles, even when they finally worked the courage up to get rid of Hitler, they cocked that up too, couldn't even get that done smartly.

Totally agree on all points. The Naziis were a death cult. It was a lame attempt at manifest destiny with a coward suicide option built in.

Yeah, I'm going to have to watch Band of Brothers again.

Meet Mr Ford and General 'Fucking' Motors.

The Krauts only produced about 150,000 Opels, Kübelwagen and Schwimmwagens
America alone produced well over 2 Million Power Wagons, Jeeps and DUKWs.

Piss off, tell that shit to American GI's who fought their way through France, got to Germany and found that Ford had been working closely with the Germans to build trucks and one of our tire companies was supplying them tires.
