Go fast enough and any vehicle will try to take off, whether it's a car or a boat. A large part of the design of either for extreme speed is to keep them on the surface. F1 downforce is mostly about creating grip for cornering. The advantage of insisting on power through the wheels is that it would reduce the speed and make the cars less likely to take off and reduce the needless deaths. It would also make it more likely that innovations would be passed on to normal road-going vehicles as is the case with F1 cars.
For legal reasons, we are not threatening to destroy U.S. government property with our glorious medieval siege engine. But if we wanted to, we could. But we won’t. But we could.

Deputies from the Harney County Sheriff's Office identified the driver as Combs. She was pronounced dead at the scene. It's unclear what led to the crash, which is under investigation.
Nah you know what? I was watching that video hoping to see the crash but instead I found out she was groomed by Hollywood pedos.
