This is totally nonsensical.
Do liberals believe that a government can legitimately take away their other human rights?
Your human rights are not gifts from the state, guys..

Liberals believe the government can do whatever the fuck it wants....as long as it aligns with their world view.

So we can just repeal the right of assembly and bull-whip them into submission whenever they try to organize a pussy hat march??

I think you’ve confused Trump for a Republican.jediuser598 wrote:Bipartisan issue, as your dear leader is calling for "I like taking guns away early," Trump said. "Take the guns first, go through due process second."
So maybe you republicans should own up that the leader of your party is pretty anti-second.
It’s understandable for you to want to lash out at Republicans when your own beloved party is so blatantly anti-Rights. Better for you to lash out at your own though, or simply ditch that totalitarian party.

You not noticing your confirmation bias here? You're harping about the minority party in like every single thread.DBTrek wrote:I think you’ve confused Trump for a Republican.jediuser598 wrote:Bipartisan issue, as your dear leader is calling for "I like taking guns away early," Trump said. Republicans control the presidency, the house, and the senate. Shit man, check your biases, you're not seeing straight.

Here’s how oblivious leftists are - they wander into a thread about an article urging Democrats to repeal the 2nd Amendment, and bitch about republicans while accusing everyone discussing the actual topic of confirmation bias.jediuser598 wrote:

They don’t just live in a media echo chamber, their whole existence is one deluded, echo chamber, set on repeat.

The nuance is in the name, it's not the Republic of America, it's the Republic of the United States of America, United States being the operating clause, the right to bear arms being a States Right, the citizens of each state expressed as a Well Regulated Militia, so the issue is autonomy from the central authority over the Free States which agreed to come into the Union, with caveats, one of those caveats being that they would retain their armed militias independent of the federal government.DrYouth wrote:I found this interesting.

Another example of US exceptionalism.Only three countries in the world currently have a constitutional right to own a gun: the US, Mexico, and Guatemala.
•Six other countries used to have a constitutional right to bear arms, but they've since repealed those laws.
•The US is the only country with a right to keep and bear arms with no constitutional restrictions.
It seems most other "free states" have worked around this somehow."A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State,
Or perhaps the US is the only free state... and the rest of us are just wannabes...
With Mexico and Guatemala as runner ups?
Then South Carolina tried to walk away, and the central authority has been trying to undermine the independence of the Free States ever since.

To wit, long before they were called "SJWs", they were just called "Them Yankees".
