That's actually the first thing I would do, when building a winning team. Football is won and lost on the line.

I checked the numbers for last season... yeesh. They do have good personnel on the line, but as far as actual pass protection it was not good. Hopefully it gets better for them (and they can actually keep a consistent QB).

Yeah, they're fabulously bad at that. Rumor has it that the owners wife has been running the team this whole time, making personnel decisions. Hopefully they've put an end to that.

yeah, I had a buddy in highschool that always (ALWAYS) talked shit about them. We had a standing $100 bet every year on Bears vs Browns season record. After I was up $1000 or so, he quit talking to me.

That kind of dedicated fanbase is what enables owner-abuse like this though, imo. They know they'll sell tickets and merch, so why bother paying for wins? Just hump along somewhere above the bottom of the league, and you'll save millions every year.

Going to be interesting without him and seeing whether:

A.) Cooks can become an integral piece of the offense.
B.) In the neverending pipeline of white slot receivers, starting with Welker, Hogan seems to be coming into his own as a reliable piece of the offense. We'll see who becomes Brady's binky this year.
